Workouts and nutrition in one tool

Integrated training & nutrition
in a single coaching platform

Most coaching platforms either ship workouts and bolt on nutrition as a paid add-on, or do nutrition well and leave you to find a second tool for training. CoachingPortal does both natively - same client profile, same analytics, same plan.

CoachingPortal meal plan builder and exercise program builder integrated in a single client view

What “integrated” unlocks

Integration is not a checkbox - it is what the system can do once both sides share a single client record.

One client record, both sides

Programming, meal plans, check-ins, and progress data live on the same client profile. No exporting, no copy-paste between tools.

Auto-periodization for both

RIR-based autoregulation adjusts training load while body-weight and adherence trends inform nutrition adjustments - in the same engine.

Real nutrition depth

1,000,000+ foods (FatSecret), 17,000+ recipes, barcode scanner, custom foods, and auto-generated grocery lists.

Real training depth

3,500+ exercise library, custom uploads, RPE/RIR/percentage/fixed loading, automatic deload weeks, PT Mode for in-person sessions.

Compliance scoring across both

See nutrition adherence and training completion side-by-side per client, surfaced as a weekly compliance score in the analytics dashboard.

Single weekly review

Run check-ins once per week per client and see body weight, photos, sleep, training compliance, and nutrition adherence in one screen.

An integrated platform is only useful if both sides are deep enough to run a real coaching business. CoachingPortal ships the same training and nutrition surface area on every plan, including the free tier.

Coaches love it

Specific feedback from working coaches.

Verified G2 review

It has everything I need in one app. It’s easy to see where my clients are at, and it makes it simple to build nutrition and exercise programs for them.

Verified G2 review

The biggest benefit for me is having everything in one place. Program delivery, check-ins, and messaging are all connected, so I’m no longer switching between different tools. The check-in flow is straightforward and makes it easy to review each week.

Frequently asked

Why does “integrated” training and nutrition actually matter?+

When training and nutrition live in separate tools, you build the programming logic in one place and the macros/meal plans in another, and the client sees a fragmented experience. Integrated means the same client profile drives both: the program builder, the meal builder, the check-ins, and the analytics dashboard all read from one record. That is what lets compliance scoring, weekly reviews, and progress photos sit beside the actual training plan instead of in a separate app.

How is this different from Trainerize Advanced Nutrition Coaching?+

ABC Trainerize sells Advanced Nutrition Coaching as a separate add-on: $20/month on Grow through Pro 15 and $45/month on Pro 30 through Pro 200 as of June 12, 2026. CoachingPortal includes the meal builder, food database, recipe library, barcode scanner, and macro tracking in every plan - including the free tier. There is no nutrition upcharge.

Does TrueCoach have nutrition?+

TrueCoach has habit tracking and macro targets, but it does not include a meal plan builder, recipe library, or full food database in its standard product. Many TrueCoach coaches pair it with a separate nutrition tool (MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, or a spreadsheet). CoachingPortal’s built-in meal builder removes the need for that second tool.

What if I only coach training, not nutrition?+

You can ignore the nutrition side entirely - assign workouts only and the meal plan tab simply does not appear in the client experience. The integration is opt-in per client, not forced. The opposite is also true: nutrition-only coaches can run the platform without ever assigning an exercise program.

Where do the food and recipe numbers come from?+

The food database is powered by FatSecret with 1,000,000+ verified foods, and the recipe library currently sits at 17,000+ recipes with full macro breakdowns. Both numbers are surfaced in-product on the meal builder.

Does the auto-periodization affect nutrition prescriptions too?+

Yes. The same RIR-based autoregulation that adjusts training loads can pair with weekly nutrition adjustments based on body weight trend, adherence, and check-in data. That is the “integrated” part - the system sees both sides of the client and can react to both.

One platform. Both sides. No add-ons.

Free for up to 5 clients with everything included. Paid plans start at $19.99/month.
